under the sea plushie pals

This 8-week under the sea themed class is a plushie enthusiasts dream. We will start with making pre-designed (by me) plushies, learning basic hand sewing skills, and will gradually add appliqué, embroidery, stacking, and so much more.  The end project will be a full size plushie designed entirely by the student. Students will be introduced to some sewing machine techniques, but the vast majority of the class will be hand-sewing.

Some projects will include:

felt coral

collaged jellyfish

embroidered sea turtles

sequined fish

This is a great class for kiddos interested in sewing or those that love making their own toys. No experience necessary! Ages 6+

We supply all materials! 

Class goes from January 10th to February 28th

Your instructor is Alisa, who has been in the fashion industry for over 20 years, working in children's wear, women's wear, costume design, and currently owns trekALLa. She taught fashion design courses for over a decade at colleges throughout Texas and has been leading fashion camps during the summers since 2008.  She has two kids, a dog named Waffles, and a husband who is used to finding random spools of thread all over their house.

You will receive a sewing waiver via email that must be signed prior to event

Camp will take place at our shop on the 2nd floor, in the Village Towers at 315 Brevard Ave in Cocoa Village.

No refunds for cancellations; spots can be transferred to another camper if the need for cancellation occurs.  Please contact us immediately at trekallaapparel@gmail.com if this happens.  In case of hurricane, camps will be rescheduled for an alternate date.
