Camp Upcycle

Turn a placemat into a zippered bag, a towel into a new summer wardrobe staple, or a pair of well loved jeans into a pillow in this super fun, experimental sewing camp.  We'll explore all different types of upcycling, fabric repair/dying, and various construction techniques needed to complete the projects of your dreams.

Bring your favorite tshirt to transform and we'll provide supplies for the rest! 

No sewing experience is needed- we will cover safe machine use, hand stitching, and other construction methods to make use of what you already have and more.

Your instructor is Alisa, who has been in the fashion industry for over 20 years, working in children's wear, women's wear, costume design, and currently owns trekALLa. She taught fashion design courses for over a decade at colleges throughout Texas and has been leading fashion camps during the summers since 2008.  She has two kids, a dog named Waffles, and a husband who is used to finding random spools of thread all over their house.

No refunds for cancellations; spots can be transferred to another camper if the need for cancellation occurs.  Please contact us immediately at trekallaapparel@gmail.com if this happens.  In case of hurricane, camps will be rescheduled for an alternate date.
