Pattern hacking

Sick of commercial patterns not working the way you have in mind? This 8 week course is for you.  We will cover how to take commercial and digital/PDF patterns and make them work for your body.

Sewing experience is necessary to be successful in this class. 

Since this class is about personalizing existing patterns, you will need to provide one commercial pattern and one pdf pattern to test during this course.  Week 1, we will go over which patterns to look at and give purchasing guidelines.  You will also need to supply the fabric to test these patterns.

Fall Session 1: ages 12-17, meets Fridays from noon-1pm, August 14- Oct 2

Fall Session 1: ages 18+, meets Sunday from 1-2pm, August 14- Sept 27

Your instructor is Alisa, who has been in the fashion industry for over 20 years, working in children's wear, women's wear, costume design, and currently owns trekALLa. She taught fashion design courses for over a decade at colleges throughout Texas and has been leading fashion camps during the summers since 2008.  She has two kids, a dog named Waffles, and a husband who is used to finding random spools of thread all over their house.

No refunds for cancellations; spots can be transferred to another camper if the need for cancellation occurs.  Please contact us immediately at trekallaapparel@gmail.com if this happens.  In case of hurricane, camps will be rescheduled for an alternate date.
